My Gruesome Xperience In Jakarta

BombBlast

For the first time Josh & I saw how & what a "shockwave" of a bomb looked & felt like...... We could see it clearly right in front of our eyes as the curtains were drawn open in the livingroom.......I screamed....and asked Josh "What was that?"

All of us ran to the balcony and saw smoke coming from a building in a distance.

Josh said "It was a bomb!"

My heart was beating absolutely fast. Rolaand was in the bathroom at the time the bomb went off, his head was thrown back. Everybody staying at the apartment building ran out & downstairs to see what the sound was all about...

Being a SNAPaholic that I am....Immediately I grabbed my camera and took pictures......

I could see people running down the fire escape stairs of a building next to where the smoke was coming from. Villagers staying nearby are seen running to the scene as well.

Josh & I were in a state of ShocK!!!!

Standing at the balcony, we were all trying to figure where, what , which building. And with my none 20-20 vision I actually spotted in a distance a bright blue flag in a building compound which had settellites on the roof...I put 2 and 2 together and immediately I told the boys "I think it's the Australian Embassy". But we weren't sure. I saw a building which looked like it's still under construction and asked the boys "What building is that?". They could not figure it out as they've never seen such a building and then we realized that it's NOT a building under construction BUT a building which was affected by the blast. I swear it didn't look like a building at all at that very moment because you can see right through it.

True enough as we turned on the TV to a local channel they announced it......"The Australian Embassy was hit by a bomb"

Basically we're more or less about 1 km away from where it happened. We're staying with Rolaand at his apartment at Taman Rasuna, which is within the same district of Kuningan.

I thank God that Rolaand and Josh decided to leave for work a lil' later than usual.

This is one event that I would NOT want to experience again.
